Business portrait — for LinkedIn, website and corporate media

A strong business portrait is neither an ID photo nor a profile-picture-with-a-smile. It’s an image where you’re recognisable as you are in conversation — not rehearsed, but focused. That’s hard to achieve in a rushed shoot where you’re forced to “look relaxed”. I approach it differently.

How I work

We start with 10 minutes to get acquainted. No camera, just coffee and a chat about what the portrait will be used for — LinkedIn? A website team page? A job application? A conference speaker card? That context determines the styling, the background, the editing.

Then I photograph for 20-30 minutes per person. Not 200 frames to click through later — but 5-10 choices from the same shoot, with variations in pose and expression.

Setting — choose what fits

Studio look at your location: I bring a mobile setup (backdrop, two lights). Works in any meeting room. Classic, clean, controllable.

Documentary at your workplace: I photograph where you work, with natural light and context in the background. More character, less generic-corporate.

Outdoor location: for those without an office or who want a more personal setting — a park, a café, a street. Especially interesting for coaches, speakers, entrepreneurs.

Frequently asked questions

What should I wear? Solid colours usually work best — busy patterns can be distracting. We discuss the goal beforehand so the styling matches it. Bringing two outfits is always wise.

My make-up? I’d recommend light, natural make-up. No full glam, no nothing — something in between. Glasses or no glasses? Bring them, then we can choose.

How long does it take? For 1 person: 30-45 minutes including setup. For a team of 5-10: ~2 hours. Larger teams in half-day blocks.

What does it cost? One person: €175 including setup and 5 edited photos. Teams: from €450 for 5 people at one location. Note: an on-site setup may require extra travel time for locations more than 30 km away.

How is your style different from “standard” headshots? Less polished, more character. I leave in the lines and expressions that give character. If you want retouched glamour headshots — then I’m not the right choice, that’s a different craft.
